Today finally, i managed to install a new firewall in the house.
I did go for IpFire. Installation went really quick, ~2 minutes from power on to done.
Next step was to setup some rules. It was not what i was used to with the old one, but anyway.
I managed to figure out how to enable a simple port forward to my different services, it was not that hard. And the documentation is awesome.
A really nice feature in IpFire is that you can do “location block”. You just select what country you want to block and press “add” I did “select all” and then unselect a few, work awesome.
